Kingsbridge expands reach with Newry Private Clinic acquisition

Kingsbridge Health Group has officially welcomed Newry Private Clinic into its growing network, marking a significant expansion in private healthcare provision across Northern Ireland. The move strengthens Kingsbridge’s presence in the border region while widening access to consultant-led care and specialist services.

Based at Windsor Hill, Newry Private Clinic has earned a strong reputation across 50 medical specialisms and recently achieved Independent Private Hospital registration from the RQIA, enabling it to perform minor surgical procedures on-site. Since 2021, owners David and Laura McCaul have led a £2 million refurbishment and expansion programme, transforming the facility into a modern hub for advanced diagnostics and treatment.

Both McCauls will remain central to the clinic’s operations under Kingsbridge ownership, ensuring continuity for patients and staff. The integration also complements a new partnership with The Mid Ulster Clinic in Magherafelt, where Kingsbridge will install new MRI, mammography, DEXA, and day case treatment facilities. These upgrades will expand the Group’s Women’s Health services and strengthen access to imaging and diagnostics across the region.

For the wider health ecosystem, the developments come as a boost to patient access and cross-border collaboration. By offering additional consultations and procedures locally, Newry Private Clinic will help alleviate NHS waiting lists and improve regional capacity.
