Dr Ann Hogan brings a lifetime of healthcare leadership to the Private Healthcare Awards 2025

Dr Ann Hogan, retired Principal Medical Officer, joins the judging panel of the Private Healthcare Awards 2025, bringing with her a distinguished career that spans clinical practice, community health, and medical governance.

A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Dr Hogan began her career as a Non-Consultant Hospital Doctor before moving into community medicine in 1989. Over the following decades, she became a respected leader within Ireland’s public health system, serving as Principal Medical Officer for the Mid-West Area, where she managed community medical services across Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary.

Dr Hogan’s experience extends beyond clinical leadership. Dr Hogan has also held senior roles in Quality and Risk Management, as well as General Management, contributing to strategic improvements in patient care and operational excellence. 

Her commitment to the medical profession is reflected in her longstanding involvement with the Irish Medical Organisation, where she chaired the Public Health and Community Health Committee and later served as President (2017–2018). Her expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and credibility of this year’s judging process.

The Private Healthcare Awards 2025 ceremony takes place on Friday, 17 October 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin.
