A €6.8 million initiative led by Queen’s University Belfast is harnessing digital innovation to transform how substance use and mental health challenges are addressed across Northern Ireland and Ireland. This cross-border collaboration brings together universities, digital health experts, and community partners to deliver scalable, inclusive solutions for dual-diagnosis support. With workforce shortages and rising demand putting pressure on systems, SUMIT offers a timely model for modernising delivery and expanding digital inclusion in future health strategies.
