Regent Street Clinic, an independent UK private healthcare group, has opened its sixth Central London clinic at St Paul's, less than a year after launching its first London locations. The opening reflects growing demand for same-day private healthcare, particularly across private GP services, travel medicine, diagnostics and health screening.

The new site joins existing clinics at Oxford Circus, Victoria, London Bridge, Marble Arch and King's Cross, with a further clinic in South Kensington planned.

The group was built around a flagship clinic in Nottingham by Dr Bobby Ahmed, who remains chief executive and medical director, and it also operates in Dubai. A provider listing credits the group with more than 20 years of experience and over half a million patients.

Regent Street Clinic first expanded into Central London in September 2025 and now operates 20 clinics across the UK, with a 21st due to open shortly. The group has also invested in its regional network, including upgraded facilities in Bristol and Lincoln.

"There is a clear and growing demand for accessible same-day healthcare across London," said Dr Ahmed. "Our expansion has been driven by patient demand, particularly the significant growth we have seen in travel medicine and diagnostic services."

On pricing, Dr Ahmed said consistency across the country has been central to the London rollout. "We don't believe patients should pay more simply because they're accessing care in Central London."

The structural driver is the group's uniform national pricing structure, under which patients in Central London are not charged a premium purely because of location. The expansion forms part of a wider strategy to make private healthcare more accessible across the UK while maintaining the independent, clinician-led model on which the business was founded.

For the sector, the St Paul's opening confirms that independent private GP groups are scaling into Central London on same-day access and national price consistency rather than premium positioning.
