The Private Healthcare Awards 2026 has announced its shortlist, naming finalists across 20 categories ahead of the awards gala on 2 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, where Ireland's leading private healthcare providers, healthcare professionals, and organisations will be recognised before hundreds of senior executives from across the healthcare sector in Ireland.

The shortlist spans the full breadth of Ireland's private healthcare community, with finalists drawn from private hospitals, cosmetic and dental clinics, homecare providers, rehabilitation services, nursing homes, and specialist healthcare facilities.

Categories recognise healthcare excellence across clinical delivery, patient experience, healthcare technology, healthcare innovation, operational excellence in healthcare, and women in healthcare leadership, alongside people-focused distinctions covering staff development, healthcare education and training, and caregiver recognition.

Entries were assessed by an independent judging panel coordinated by Brid Seoighe, Medical Director at Johnson & Johnson Ireland. The 2026 panel brings together healthcare leadership expertise from across the sector, including senior figures from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, Hibernian Healthcare at Home, MatchMedics, and Health Care Informed, each bound by strict confidentiality agreements and conflict of interest protocols to ensure a fair and impartial process.

The programme is supported by Gold sponsors, including Medica, a leading provider of teleradiology and managed diagnostic services, as well as ABM, a global leader in integrated facility and infrastructure solutions.

Amárach Research joins as Supporter, while The Irish Times serves as official Communications Partner, with shortlisted entrants receiving national exposure through its digital platform.

The Overall Excellence Award winner will be announced on the night, with the ceremony drawing attendance from Ireland's most prominent healthcare providers.
