MJH Life Sciences acquires BPD Healthcare to expand data-driven healthcare communications
MJH Life Sciences, a healthcare media company based in Cranbury, New Jersey, has acquired BPD Healthcare, a technology-enabled marketing, communications, and consulting firm. The deal strengthens MJH’s integrated offerings for academic medical centers, physicians, pharmacists, and managed care professionals.
Under the agreement, BPD Healthcare will continue operating independently as a wholly owned subsidiary of MJH Life Sciences, retaining its brand identity. Jason Brown will remain CEO of BPD and will report directly to MJH Life Sciences chairman and CEO, Michael Hennessy Jr.
“This is about building a powerful bridge between the science that transforms lives and the systems that deliver that transformation,” Hennessy said. “Together, we’re accelerating how health systems, hospitals, and organizations reach patients and redefine what state-of-the-art care looks like.”
Brown described the acquisition as a chance to scale BPD’s mission. “Joining MJH Life Sciences allows BPD to help clients grow their brands and strengthen the industry to better care for patients and communities,” he said.
The acquisition aligns with MJH’s strategy to integrate media, data, and technology in healthcare communication. Its portfolio spans digital and print publications, live and virtual events, and targeted marketing solutions across multiple medical specialties.
Recent M&A activity in digital health includes Datavant’s purchase of DigitalOwl, Talkspace’s acquisition of Wisdo Health, and Innovaccer’s acquisition of Story Health—signaling a continued push toward technology-driven healthcare solutions.
