Industry NewsMedPal AI surpasses 250,000 prescriptions dispensed as pharmacy operations hit record monthly volumes
LSE-listed digital health company MedPal AI has reported its strongest month of pharmacy operations since launch, dispensing 42,250 prescription items in May 2026 and surpassing a cumulative milestone of 250,000 prescriptions across both NHS and private prescription services.
According to Yahoo Finance, the May figure exceeds the company's previous monthly record of 41,000 items and marks a significant operational milestone for the UK-based technology-driven healthcare platform. Based on May's performance, MedPal AI's pharmacy division is now running at an annualised turnover rate of more than £5 million.
Interim results for the six months ended February 2026 showed pharmacy gross margins exceeding 34%, reflecting the operational leverage generated by the company's automated dispensing infrastructure. Management said substantial capacity remains within its existing dispensing operations, providing headroom for further volume growth without requiring significant additional capital investment.
CEO and founder Jason Drummond said the results validate the company's growth strategy, describing the quarter-million prescription milestone as evidence of how rapidly MedPal AI has scaled from its initial launch position.
MedPal AI operates through its MedPal Health OS platform, which integrates health data from more than 100 wearable devices and health applications, providing personalised wellness insights alongside access to clinical and pharmacy services through a single ecosystem. Its wholly owned pharmacy subsidiary operates a 24-hour automated distribution centre powered by robotic dispensing technology and AI-driven workflows, supporting same-day and next-day delivery of prescriptions nationwide.
The company is positioning itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital wellness, clinical services and pharmacy fulfilment, with its integrated model designed to capture value across multiple points in the patient care journey.
