Mater Private Network wins Best Use of Technology at Private Healthcare Awards 2025

In a standout moment from last year’s awards, Mater Private Network won Best Use of Technology at the Private Healthcare Awards 2025, recognised for its innovative use of Microsoft Forms and cloud automation to modernise legislative compliance under the Ionising Radiation Regulations.

The winning initiative transformed traditionally paper-based handover processes for service engineers and external representatives by introducing QR codes and Microsoft Forms, seamlessly integrated into an existing IT system. 

The cloud-based solution delivers 100% form completion, real-time notifications, and 96% equipment return efficiency, while significantly improving audit readiness and ensuring consistent regulatory compliance across multiple hospital sites.

Judges praised the project for its clear operational impact and scalability. “Mater Private Network impressed the panel with a transformative digital solution that modernised safety and Radiation Protection Officer processes across radiology services,” the judges said. 

“With 100% adoption and an 80% reduction in audit time, the initiative demonstrates measurable efficiency, regulatory excellence, and a new standard for innovation in healthcare operations,” they added. 

The recognition underscores the rising standards across Ireland’s private healthcare sector as attention turns to the 2026 awards cycle. Providers are increasingly distinguished by their ability to blend innovation, technology, and patient- and staff-centred processes to deliver demonstrable outcomes at scale.
