Singapore-based healthtech startup injewelme has secured $1.2 million (€1.01 million) in a funding round led by Temasek Trust's catalytic vehicle, Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health, to accelerate development and commercial deployment of its contactless health monitoring platform across healthcare, eldercare and insurance markets.

According to Mobi Health News, the round also includes participation from Richardson Family, a UK-based family-owned investment company. Founded in South Korea in 2020, injewelme uses artificial intelligence and data analytics to develop preventive and personalised healthcare solutions.

The company's flagship product, DeepHealthVision, uses remote photoplethysmography to analyse more than 20 vital health parameters including blood pressure and oxygen saturation in 30 seconds via a standard camera. The technology demonstrated 95% detection accuracy during real-world pilots conducted with SingHealth Polyclinics and private sector partners.

Fresh capital will be directed towards expanding the range of parameters DeepHealthVision can detect, with blood glucose, stress index, fatigue and hydration monitoring among the capabilities under development. The funds will also support customer acquisition in Singapore and broader expansion across Southeast Asian markets.

injewelme also develops DeepHealthNet, a predictive AI platform that collects and analyses personal health data to identify risks and anticipate changes, alongside a gamified health management application designed for children and adolescents.

DeepHealthVision is currently being evaluated for deployment across healthcare facilities, eldercare settings, insurance providers and workforce safety programmes, including applications for monitoring physiological stress linked to climate-related heat exposure an area of growing regulatory and employer concern across Southeast Asia.
