Duality Healthcare appoints Michael Donnelly as chairman

Duality Healthcare, a private GP provider based in Newry, Northern Ireland, has appointed Michael Donnelly as Chairman as the company prepares for significant growth and investment following a £4.5 million funding round earlier in 2025.

Donnelly, a Belfast native with over 25 years’ experience as a senior strategic adviser, investment professional, and Chartered Accountant, brings expertise across infrastructure, regulated sectors, and private capital in London, Dublin, and Belfast.

He previously worked as fund manager for a FTSE 250 investment vehicle and advised shareholders during periods of international expansion.

Donnelly’s role will include ensuring board effectiveness, accountability, and risk management while supporting management in balancing clinical quality, patient outcomes, and commercial sustainability.

"I will also be working to ensure very robust financial oversight, governance frameworks and risk management as the organisation grows, and ultimately help position Duality as a highly credible, truly trusted partner to patients, clinicians, commissioners, investors and regulators," he said.
