Dr Vishnu Renjith, Lecturer and Programme Director at the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), has been confirmed as a member of the judging panel for the Private Healthcare Awards 2026, contributing expertise spanning clinical practice, higher education, academic leadership, and healthcare research to the evaluation process.

At RCSI, Renjith leads postgraduate education and healthcare research within one of Ireland's most internationally recognised medical institutions. His methodological range is broad, encompassing systematic reviews, qualitative research, mixed methods studies, and clinical trials.

This toolkit positions him to assess evidence of healthcare innovation and quality improvement with a rigour that goes beyond anecdotal or surface-level claims. That depth of research expertise, combined with direct experience in clinical practice and academic leadership, gives him a perspective on healthcare quality that is simultaneously evidence-grounded and practically informed.

His international standing is reflected in a portfolio of academic appointments that extends well beyond Ireland. Renjith serves as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE, one of the world's most widely read scientific journals, holds an Honorary Senior Lectureship at Cardiff University, and is adjunct faculty at Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Those concurrent commitments place him within a global network of healthcare education and research that informs his understanding of where Irish private healthcare sits relative to international standards and emerging best practice.

Renjith joins a panel that includes Karen Charnley of the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, Claudia McGloin of The Regenerative Expert Nurse, Caroline Moran of Hibernian Healthcare at Home, Richard Morton of MatchMedics, Declan O'Callaghan, retired Medical Director, Brid Seoighe of Johnson and Johnson, and John Sweeney of HCI.

The Private Healthcare Awards 2026 gala will take place on 2 October 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport. Entries remain open until 3 July 2026.
