Healthcare technology platform Doctify has announced a strategic integration with the Private Healthcare Information Network to streamline patient feedback collection and regulatory reporting for private hospitals across the UK.
According to a report by London Business Journal, the integration allows hospitals already using Doctify to collect patient satisfaction feedback through a single survey and submit it directly to PHIN, helping providers meet the requirements of the Competition and Markets Authority's Private Healthcare Market Investigation Order without introducing additional software or costs. The arrangement is available at no additional cost to providers already using the Doctify platform.
PHIN collects performance and patient experience data from more than 650 hospitals offering private healthcare services across the UK and publishes information designed to help patients compare providers and make informed decisions about their care. Many private healthcare providers currently use separate systems to gather patient feedback for internal reputation management and regulatory reporting, creating duplication of effort and additional administrative burden.
Consolidating the process into a single platform is expected to increase patient response rates by reducing duplicate survey requests while improving compliance and lowering administrative costs for participating providers.
Stephanie Eltz, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Doctify, said: "This partnership reinforces our mission to improve patient access to healthcare, helping patients access trusted healthcare providers and empowering them to make informed choices about their care in what can be an anxious time."
Ian Gargan, Chief Executive Officer of PHIN, said: "Working with Doctify on this initiative provided a great opportunity for us to create a new avenue for data submission and reduce the burden on hospitals. We will continue to explore ways to develop this relationship, and others, to ensure we provide a gold standard in healthcare data."
Dr Suman Saha, Chief Strategy Officer at Doctify, said the integration was developed after identifying a common operational challenge across the sector: "Our goal is to eliminate the duplicate systems and costs that providers currently face, freeing them to focus on delivering exceptional patient care."
Doctify works with many of the UK's largest private healthcare providers and its professional healthcare profiles are used across several major healthcare directories and insurer platforms, including AXA.
