Cruinn Diagnostics secures investment from Waterland Private Equity

Cruinn Diagnostics, a leading Irish distributor of clinical diagnostic and pre-analytic laboratory reagents, consumables, and equipment, has received an investment from Waterland Private Equity. The company is a trusted partner to hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and government agencies, offering comprehensive equipment servicing, calibration, and testing services.

DC Advisory acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Cruinn Diagnostics, managing the transaction from start to finish. The firm undertook a targeted approach to identify buyers with sector expertise and financial capacity, ensuring alignment with shareholder objectives and maximising value. Key commercial terms were negotiated under DC Advisory’s guidance, culminating in Waterland completing its investment in September 2025.

MML Ireland, which initially invested in Cruinn Diagnostics in 2021, retains a significant shareholding, and the company’s experienced management team will continue to oversee operations. Waterland’s involvement is expected to accelerate the next stage of growth while reinforcing Cruinn’s differentiated position in the healthcare distribution sector.
