Industry NewsConnected Health promotes two Northern Ireland women to lead homecare expansion
Connected Health, Ireland's largest privately owned homecare provider, has appointed two new managing directors to lead operations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as the company executes expansion plans creating 1,200 new care roles. Lorraine Corr from Lisburn will head Northern Ireland operations, whilst Rebecca Vogel Faulkner from Limavady will lead the Republic of Ireland division.
News Letter reported that the appointments reflect the company's commitment to developing talent from within, with both leaders having progressed through internal ranks.
Corr joined Connected Health in 2011 as a part-time carer and has advanced through every organisational level, most recently serving as director of care for Northern Ireland. She led major Hospital-to-Home initiatives that reduced readmissions and freed hospital capacity, earning recognition on Home Care Insight's Power List as a Quality and Compliance Champion.
Vogel Faulkner joined the company in 2016 and led the development of the award-winning Connexions platform, which transformed homecare delivery through automation and real-time data. She established Connected Health's Living Lab for testing new technologies and has received multiple accolades, including Home Care Insight's UK Power List 2024 and Women in Tech's Digital Transformation Leader of the Year (Highly Commended).
Founded in 2012, Connected Health has expanded from 45 staff in Belfast to 2,000 employees across the island. The company is backed by recent BGF investment supporting a three-year growth plan.
CEO Ryan Williams noted that whilst women constitute the majority of Ireland's homecare workforce, they remain underrepresented at senior levels across health and social care. He added that both managing directors have risen through the organisation on merit through talent, hard work and innovation.
