AXA Health has expanded its employee support services with new testing, treatment options and private prescriptions, delivered in collaboration with digital health provider Peppy. The enhancements give employers a broader offer across men’s health, women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and early parenthood, and menopause support at no additional charge.
Employees can now access men’s ultimate blood testing, Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome testing, semen testing, cholesterol testing and PSA testing, alongside personalised HRT prescribing and treatment plans. Private prescriptions for HRT, contraception and men’s health treatments are also available when clinically appropriate.
All services are delivered by Peppy’s qualified clinical practitioners through a digital experience. Peppy, a UK-based digital health company co-founded in London in 2018, first began working with AXA Health in January 2022 to support employees of large corporate clients, with private one-to-one consultations of 40 minutes available by phone or video.
“By adding access to tests, treatment options and private prescriptions, we’re helping our clients’ employees get answers sooner, start the right treatment earlier and feel listened to and cared for throughout their health journey,” said Rich Glassborow, distribution, propositions and marketing director at AXA Health.
“These initiatives and enhancements demonstrate our ongoing commitment to prioritising employee wellbeing and ensuring people receive timely, expert support when they most need it,” Glassborow added.
The structural driver is employer demand for life-stage health support alongside traditional insurance cover, with Peppy having said a growing number of employers now offer help through key life events. The enhancements are designed to support early detection and intervention, giving employees a space to check symptoms and access care sooner.
Peppy’s menopause support service has reported 18 percent overall symptom improvement among almost 700 users surveyed over a year.
For the sector, the update confirms that private medical insurers are extending employer propositions beyond core cover into diagnostics, prescribing and life-stage support delivered through digital partners.
