Irish diagnostic imaging provider Alliance Medical has opened a €4.5 million outpatient imaging centre at Manor West in Tralee, expanding access to independent diagnostic services in Kerry and the surrounding region.

According to a report by the Irish Examiner, the Manor West Imaging Centre brings MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and DEXA services together in a single facility, providing fast access to community-based diagnostic care. Alliance Medical operates more than 40 clinical locations across Ireland, employs more than 600 professionals nationwide, and performs over 600,000 scans annually. The company has operated in Kerry for more than 20 years.

Doireann Ní Shéaghdha, Alliance Medical Diagnostic Imaging area manager, said: "Every aspect of the clinic has been designed to provide a welcoming, comfortable and efficient experience, strengthening access to community-based diagnostics. The centre is designed to offer fast access to diagnostic imaging without the need for patients to attend acute hospital settings, supporting earlier detection and more timely clinical decision-making for patients across Kerry, the wider south-west, and surrounding counties. The availability of DEXA scanning alongside cross-sectional and plain film imaging gives the facility a broad diagnostic remit suited to a wide range of outpatient referral needs.

The Tralee opening continues a pattern of investment by Alliance Medical in expanding its community-based imaging footprint across Ireland, where demand for outpatient diagnostics continues to grow in line with an ageing population and increasing referral volumes from both private and publicly funded healthcare pathways.
