This award is open to residential care homes and nursing facilities across Ireland who provides unparalleled care, comfort, and support to residents. The facility should demonstrate exceptional commitment to enhancing the quality of life for their residents, fostering a warm and compassionate environment, and delivering personalised care tailored to individual needs.
Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisational Overview and Leadership: Outline the home's mission, values, and leadership, as well as a commitment to fostering a warm, compassionate environment and delivering personalised care for residents.
- Clinical Governance and Compliance: Showcase robust governance and adherence to standards, demonstrating commitment to clinical governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Quality of Care and Resident Outcomes: Present data on care quality, outcomes, and satisfaction, emphasising efforts to enhance residents' quality of life and well-being
- Resident Safety and Person-centred Care: Outline safety measures and person-centred care initiatives tailored to residents' needs, promoting dignity and autonomy.
- Innovation and Adaptation to Resident Needs: Highlight innovative approaches and adaptations to meet residents' diverse needs, enhancing comfort and satisfaction.
- Staff Expertise and Training: Showcase staff qualifications and training focused on delivering resident-centred care, ensuring compassionate and skilled support for residents.
